El registro de pescadores es el proceso de inscribir a los pescadores en un registro que permite a los gobiernos y grupos de gesti\u00f3n otorgar derechos de pesca, monitorear la actividad pesquera y regular la entrada a la pesquer\u00eda. El registro de pescadores es fundamental para una ordenaci\u00f3n pesquera eficaz. Sin el conocimiento de qui\u00e9n est\u00e1 pescando, los administradores no pueden medir con precisi\u00f3n la presi\u00f3n ejercida sobre las pesquer\u00edas que sustentan el bienestar y la resiliencia de las comunidades costeras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gesti\u00f3n eficaz<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Si bien muchos pa\u00edses han establecido sistemas de registro de pescadores, pocos contribuyen activamente a una ordenaci\u00f3n eficaz de la pesca en peque\u00f1a escala. A trav\u00e9s del trabajo de Fish Forever con las comunidades pesqueras y los gobiernos locales, hemos descubierto que las razones principales de esto son:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. no todos los pescadores est\u00e1n registrados.<\/li>
  2. los administradores locales no tienen acceso ni capacidad para administrar los datos de registro.<\/li>

    Derecho a pescar<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    El enfoque de acceso administrado de Fish Forever otorga privilegios de acceso exclusivo para pescar en \u00e1reas definidas a los pescadores beneficiarios que cumplen con las regulaciones de pesca y participan en actividades de conservaci\u00f3n y manejo costero. El registro de pescadores es la plataforma para identificar a los pescadores con derecho a pescar.
