What is the data used for?

Aggregate data from fish buyers is used to provide catch statistics to assess fisheries production, the size and value of the market and composition of the catch. Data is aggregated across at least ten users in a region to protect individual identity and specific business information.

Financial data from the transactions are used to build income statements for both buyers and fishers in a format that can be presented to financial institutions by these individuals. These data are for their own personal use.
