Rare is a registered non-profit organization in the U.S. that is exempt from paying taxes on most of its revenues as a result of being classified as a 501(c)(3) organization under the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. In order to maintain this status, Rare must follow certain rules that pertain to lobbying.
